Member of the Week: Tracey Guenther

Tracey Guenther of Stater Bros. # 37 has been in the industry for 12 years. She has been working as a grocery clerk and checker her entire career.

When asked what inspired her to get more involved she said, “I wanted to help other employees and let them know not to give up, there is help in the union when you feel that you have been treated unfairly. The employers should not be able to intimidate the employees just because of their title.”

Q: How would your life be different if you were not a union member?

A: “My job wouldn’t be as secure and I wouldn’t have the benefits I do as a single parent with four kids.”

Q: What is your greatest asset?

A: “I would say my outgoing personality and my ability to smile and laugh a lot.”

Q: If you could make a change in the workplace, what would it be?

A: “Getting respect from out Key-carriers and to have more teamwork.”

Q: What in your life are you most proud of?

A: “My four children, my god who has given me all that I am blessed with, and my amazing relationship.”
