Member of the Week: Lidia Gonzales
Lidia Gonzales of Stater Bros. #77 has been in the industry for 16 years. She started out as a Courtesy Clerk and is currently the Service Deli Manager.
Gonzales’ hobbies include taking time out and bicycle riding.
When asked what inspired her to get more involved she said, “The steward that was at our store retired and someone needed to fill in so I took the job.”
Q: How would your life be different if you were not a union member?
A: “I wouldn’t make what I do and supporting my family would be harder.”
Q: If you could make a change in the workplace, what would it be?
A: “More help. There is too much to be done in the time we have to do it.”
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: “I really like what I do and working with people.”
