Member of the Week: Jim Brachman
Jim Brachman of Disneyland has been working in Store Operations and as a merchandise host for 17 years.
Brachman’s hobbies include health and fitness, and movies.
When asked what inspired him to get more involved he said, “I became a steward because I wanted to help those who weren’t aware of their rights as union members.”
Q: What is it you like most about your job?
A: “Helping fellow cast members.”
Q: How would your life be different if you were not a union member?
A: “I wouldn’t make as much and my employment would be at the whim of my employer.”
Q: If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?
A: “I would want more patience.”
Q: What is your greatest asset?
A: “I am good with people. It allows me to be a good steward.”
Q: What in your life are you most proud of?
A: “Taking care of my elderly parents.”
Q: If you could make one change at the workplace what would it be?
A: “More labor hours!”
