Jason Floyd of Disneyland has been in the industry for 22 years. He started as a store operator and is now a World of Disney Lead.

When asked what inspired him to get more involved he said, “Things used to be different, then I saw what was happening with management and wanted to help fight for people who are too afraid to stand up for themselves.”

Q: How would your life be different if you were not a union member?

A: “I wouldn’t be working here anymore. I’m very outspoken, and that could get me into trouble in a non-union atmosphere.”

Q: What in your life are you most proud of?

A: “I am proud of being a homeowner at 25.”

Q: What is your greatest asset?

A: “Being outspoken and able to speak out and help others.”

Q: If you could make any single change in your workplace what would it be?

A: “Management. They constantly micro-manage & nit-pick. If they took a step back, we could do our jobs better. I don’t need constant reminders.”
