Member of the Week: Joe Terranova

Joe Terranova of Ralphs #117 has been in the industry for 44 years. He started as a box boy in Alpha Beta and is now a Closing Manager.

Terranova’s hobbies include racquetball, surfing the web and playing on the computer.

When asked what inspired him to get more involved he said, “The injustice of it all. I didn’t like the way they treated people and wanted to help.”

Q: How would your life be different if you were not a union member?

A: “We would be just like Walmart. No benefits, low wages, and a lot of uncertainty.”

Q: What in your life are you most proud of?

A: “My family.”

Q: If you could make any single change in your workplace what would it be?

A: “I would want there to be better communication within the store.”
