Member of the Week: Joan Ponitz

Joan Ponitz of Disneyland has been in the industry for 17 years. She has been a sales hostess for hotel stores since 1995.

Ponitz’s hobbies include traveling and spending time with her dog.

She also does a walk for animals to help injured and homeless animals.

When asked what inspired her to get more involved she said, “Rocky. I knew nothing about the union and was asked to help unionize my department.”

Q: What is it you like most about your job?

A: “I really like working with people.”
