Member of the Week: Chris Savone

Chris Savone of Jatar Medical Couriers has been in the industry for 2years. He is a medical courier, driving samples all over Southern California.

Savones’s hobbies include playing and watching basketball and playing video games.

When asked what inspired him to get more involved he said, “I wanted something better. A co-worker and I contacted the union to get just that.”

Q: How would your life be different if you were not a union member?

A: “I wouldn’t have a job. Management before we became union was really bad. Having the protections on the job we have now is a big difference.”

Q: What in your life are you most proud of?

A: “I am proud of my kids, that and what I did here for my co-workers. We got union representation, it was hard, but we got it.”

Q: What is your greatest asset?

A: “That I am strong minded and aggressive.”

Q: If you could make a single change in the workplace, what would it be?

A: “I already made the change I would want, I helped get us a union contract.”

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: “I really like my co-workers-and driving.”
