Member of the Week: Angie De La Cruz
Angie De La Cruz of Ralphs #223 has been in the industry for 3 years. She started with Ralphs as a Pharmacy Tech straight out of college.
De La Cruz’s hobbies include spending time with her two children, hanging out with family, goodwill shopping, cooking, and playing with the dogs.
When asked what inspired her to get more involved she said, “I noticed that a lot of people didn’t know their rights, or that they were protected in writing by our union.”
Q: How would your life be different if you were not a union member?
A: “Being a Steward has made my voice louder. Without that, I am not sure I would be heard.”
Q: If you could make a change in the workplace, what would it be?
A: “To be more united as a whole. To have people thing about us, not I.”
Q: What in your life are you most proud of?
A: “The fact that I have gotten so far at such a young age. My parents pushed me hard to be what I am today.”
