EL Super Contract Update
On March 26th, El Super made a final contract offer to you and your co-workers to enter into a new agreement covering your wages, benefits and working conditions. Last week, the bargaining committee, made up of members from every store, met by phone to discuss the offer.
The offer does not address all of the issues that we raised during these negotiations. But it does make several significant improvements over the implemented offer that you and your coworkers have been working under for the past 6 years, including wage increases. Your bargaining committee ultimately decided to recommend this offer for acceptance.
We have mailed you documents to review and information on how to cast your vote. In the package, you will find:
- instructions for voting
- a ballot for you to vote to accept or reject this offer
- a wage chart that shows your wage increases over the next 5 years
- a handout that summarizes the important changes in the offer, and
- 2 envelopes for returning your ballot and keeping your vote confidential

We will hold a telephone town hall meeting on Monday, April 13th so that we can explain the offer and give you an opportunity to ask questions about the offer before you vote. We will be sending you call-in information.
In order to be counted, your ballot must be received by Thursday, April 16th.
El 26 de marzo, El Súper hizo una oferta final de contrato para usted y sus compañeros de trabajo para tener un nuevo contrato que cubra sus sueldos, beneficios y condiciones de trabajo. La semana pasada, el comité de negociación, compuesto por miembros de todas las tiendas, se reunió por teléfono para discutir esta oferta.
La oferta no responde a todos los problemas que planteamos durante estas negociaciones. Pero hace varias mejoras significativas sobre la oferta implementada que usted y sus compañeros de trabajo han estado trabajando durante los últimos 6 años, incluyendo aumento de sueldos. Su comité de negociación decidió finalmente recomendar esta oferta para ser aceptada.

El lunes 13 de abril para poder explicar la oferta y que tenga la oportunidad de hacer preguntas sobre la oferta antes de que usted vote. Le enviaremos la información de como hacer la llamada.
Para que usted pueda ser contado, su boleta debe ser recibida antes del jueves 16 de abril.
