Member of the Week: Cheryl Burge
Cheryl Burge of Ralphs #80 has been in the industry for 26 years. She started at Hughes in the Service Deli and is now a Sales Manager.
When asked what inspired her to get more involved she said, “I care and I want to make sure everyone understands just how important union life is.”
Q: How would your life be different if you were not a union member?
A: “I wouldn’t have job security, the great insurance or a voice in my workplace.”
Q: What is your greatest asset?
A: “I’d have to say my love for my family.”
Q: If you could make a change in the workplace, what would it be?
A: “I would hope for each day to be better than the last. That a new and better change was made everyday.”
Q: What in your life are you most proud of?
A: “I am most proud of my daughter. She is a wonderful wife and mother and inspires me to be a better person.”
