Member of the Week: Maria Martinez
Maria Martinez of Rite Aid #5508 has been in the industry for 4 years. She started as a back up PAC and is now a PAC.
Martinez’s hobbies include reading.
When asked what inspired her to get more involved she said, “I wanted to know more about my rights and help my co-workers.”
Q: How would your life be different if you were not a union member?
A: “I wouldn’t be working here still and I wouldn’t have the wages we all deserve.”
Q: If you could make a change in the workplace, what would it be?
A: “To have all the employees retrained.”
Q: What in your life are you most proud of?
A: “My daughters.”
