Member of the Week: Vince Cuellar
Vince Cuellar of the So Cal UFCW Food Trust Fund, has been in the industry for 17 years. He started out in the Medical Department doing customer service and was promoted to Department head within a few years. In 2000 he was transferred to Information Systems as Tech Support/Help Desk. He currently supports; along with his co-worker, over 250 users and workstations technical needs.
Cuellar’s hobbies include Remodeling his home, being the ‘fix-it’ guy for his family and building outdoor projects for his wife. When time allows he also likes to participate in Calvary Chapel’s Red Wagon Ministry providing meals for those in need.
When asked what inspired him to get more involved he said, “Seeing and going through personal injustices in the workplace, I felt I needed to take part in enforcing our union contract and especially our members rights.”
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: “I enjoy working with our members in helping them accomplish their daily tasks to better serve our participants.”
