Member of the Week: Lisa Crane
Lisa Crane of Ralphs #163 has been in the industry for over 30 years. She started as a courtesy clerk for Hughes and is now a Front End Supervisor for Ralphs.
Crane’s hobbies include fostering her great niece, hanging out with friends and watching sports.
When asked what inspired her to get more involved she said, “A co-worker, Nicole Brandvig, was a steward, and inspired me to become one myself. We made a great team at #221 & #15. I would be a steward at my new store if they need another one.”
Q: How would your life be different if you were not a union member?
A: “I am sure I would be doing something else. There would be nothing keeping me in the industry.”
Q: If you could make a change in the workplace, what would it be?
A: “I would try to get the people in the Service Deli better pay. They work really hard for what they get.”
Q: What in your life are you most proud of?
A: “My great niece, she is nearly 3 and a lot of fun.”
Q: What is it you like most about your job?
A: “I like the customers. I like seeing people all the time.”
