Member of the Week: Judy Coller
Judy Coller of Ralphs 295 has been in the industry for more than 25 years. She was hired as a baker and is now a Bakery Manager.
When asked what inspired her to get more involved she said, “My former Steward asked me to ‘step into her shoes’ as she was leaving our store, and I wanted to help inform people about our causes.”
Q: How would your life be different if you were not a union member?
A: “I wouldn’t have representation at work or the wages, health benefits and all around better working conditions that I have today.”
Q: What is your greatest asset?
A: “I like to talk to people whether I know them or not.”
Q: If you could make a change in the workplace, what would it be?
A: “I would like to see my co-workers guaranteed more hours and to inspire more co-workers to stand up and fight for their jobs with the help of our union.”
Q: What in your life are you most proud of?
A: “I am most proud of my family, then I would have to say my accomplishments with the training of my dogs and other dogs as this is my passion.”
