Member of the Week: Daniel Pinedo

Daniel Pinedo of Stater Bros. #142, has been in the industry for 23 years. He started as a courtesy clerk and is now in the produce department.

Pinedo’s hobbies include playing basketball, poker and golf.

When asked what inspired him to get more involved he said, “I wanted to let my fellow workers know how much we as a union are there for them.”

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: “Working with good people and meeting new people.”

Q: How would your life be different if you were not a union member?

A: “As a union member I wouldn’t have the protections I do. As a Steward, I wouldn’t be able to help my co-workers when they need it.”

Q: If you could make a change in the workplace, what would it be?

A: “To have the hours we need to get things done right.”
