Measure L Updates
November 14, 2025
We have an update about the Disney Measure L settlement:
The third-party administrator has informed us that this case has proven far more complex than they expected; however, our attorneys have been pushing the administrator to get your settlement by the end of the year.
Here’s what we know: you can expect to receive an email with instructions on how you would like to receive payment on or before December 5, 2025.
-
- Starting on or about November 24, 2025, the third-party administrator will begin sending emails to class members to choose how they would like to get paid.
- Emails will be sent on a rolling basis, so some class members won’t get theirs until December 5, 2025.
- Once class members log in and choose how they want to get paid, the process for distributing their electronic payment or check will begin.
- It will likely take a few days for the electronic payments to be sent and up to three weeks for the checks to go out.
- Starting on or about November 24, 2025, the third-party administrator will begin sending emails to class members to choose how they would like to get paid.
- NOTE: You are NOT likely to receive your email, check, or electronic payment on Day 1 after you elect how to be paid.
We know this process has been confusing and exhausting, and this information above uld change, but as we’ve shown throughout, when we stand together, we can ensure Disney workers are treated with dignity and are respected for their work.

Good News! The judge approved the Disney Measure L case settlement on September 16, 2025! What’s next?
-
- The settlement account administrator will establish a web portal within 30 days, allowing class members to choose their preferred method of payment.
- Class members can receive their owed money via check, direct deposit, PayPal and more. Note: Disbursements via methods like PayPal or Venmo will have a fee added to it. When you decide how you would like to be paid, the web portal will inform you if a fee is attached.
- The administrator will then send your back pay within 60 days of the settlement approval. Money is expected to be sent around Thanksgiving!
- Note: the money you receive will already be taxed.
If class members have not been contacted within 45 days of September 16, 2025, they should reach out to the administrator at info@disneylivingwagecase.com or 1-877-354-3897.
This settlement is only possible because we have shown that we’re stronger together. When we stand united, we can ensure Disney workers are treated with dignity and are respected for their work.

BREAKING: Disney has agreed to a $233 million settlement in the Measure L living wage case! As part of the settlement, cast members at the Resort will receive:
- 100% of their back wages, including overtime payments, minus the usual tax withholdings
- 10% interest on back wages and overtime pay
- 100% of 401(k) matching contributions Disney would have made based on the Measure L rates plus 10% interest
- Additional penalty payments
This settlement is the largest class action wage theft case in California history, and would not have been possible without cast members’ willingness to fight for what they deserve from Disney. Workers, our fellow unions, and community members, fought hard for Measure L, Anaheim’s minimum wage law, in 2018, so resort area workers who make the magic for guests from around the world would have a living wage.
Throughout these five years, we’ve shown we’re stronger together and when we are united we can ensure Disney workers are treated with dignity and are respected for their work.
This settlement agreement now goes to the court to get the judge’s approval. After that, members in the class will get an individual notice with the amount you will be receiving from the settlement. If there are no appeals from class members, payments are expected in about July 2025.

This afternoon, the California Supreme Court decided not to hear Disney’s appeal in the Measure L case, clearing the way for our Disney members to finally get what they deserve after five years!
Workers, our fellow unions, and community members fought hard for Measure L, Anaheim’s minimum wage law, in 2018, so resort area workers who make the magic for guests from around the world would have a living wage.
This decision is a huge victory for our unions and sets the stage for our contract negotiations next Spring/Summer. We have the opportunity to fight for more by showing we’re stronger together and when we are united, we can ensure Disney workers are treated with dignity and are respected.
We are figuring out what the timeline is for potential back payments and exactly how the decision will affect our members. We will keep you updated as we learn more.
