Member of the Week: Monique Foasberg
Monique Foasberg of Albertsons #6141 has been in the industry for 17 years. She started as a Courtesy Clerk and is now a Checker.
Foasberg’s hobbies include reading, listening to music and sports.
When asked what inspired her to get more involved she said, “The last strike really put things in perspective. I knew I wanted to be more involved.”
Q: What is it you like most about your job?
A: “I really enjoy working with people.”
Q: How would your life be different if you were not a union member?
A: “I wouldn’t have the protections that our contract offers. I wouldn’t have the benefits, or the wages we have here.”
Q: If you could make a change in the workplace, what would it be?
A: “I guess I would say more staff. More people to share the load.”
