Member of the Week: Sheryl Williams
Sheryl Williams of Albertsons #6507 has been in the industry for more than 25 years. She started as a GM Clerk, moved to a GM Manager for 10 years, and is now a Food Clerk.
Williams’ hobbies include riding bikes, hiking, being outdoors, going to the Labor Classes at Local 324, and watching TV.
When asked what inspired her to get more involved she said, “The 03-04 strike/lockout. We didn’t have a steward and I asked a bunch of questions, was asked if I wanted to be the steward/picket captain and said OK.”
Q: How would your life be different if you were not a union member?

Q: If you could make a change in the workplace, what would it be?
A: “Better communication with management.”
Q: What in your life are you most proud of?
A: “My 26 year-old son. I am very proud of him.”
Q: What is it you like most about your job?
A: “The people. I love my friends, the customers, and everyone I work with.”
