Member of the Week: Phil Williams
Phil Williams of Ralphs #739 has been in the industry for 15 years. He was hired as a a Dairy/Deli clerk and is now an Cashier/Price Integrity Clerk.
When asked what inspired him to get more involved he said, “I was asked if I wanted to be a steward and agreed.”
Q: How would your life be different if you were not a union member?
A: “I am not sure. I have been a member of the union so long. Things would definitely be different.”
Q: What is your greatest asset?
A: “I would have to say my patience.”
Q: If you could make a change in the workplace, what would it be?
A: “All the paperwork that the departments are having to do now. It seems to take time away from being in the department.”
Q: What in your life are you most proud of?
A: “My acceptance of Christ at an early age, life has been different ever since.”
