Member of the Week: Jeff Weston
Jeff Weston of Albertsons #6194, has been in the industry for 31 years. He started out as a box boy and is now a produce clerk, and sometimes checks as well.
Weston’s hobbies include poker, bowling, his pug dogs, and working with UFCW organizers.
“After seeing first hand what employers are willing to do, like wrongfully accusing people of felonies lit a fire under me and got me more involved.”
Weston has been a Union Steward since 1997 and recently became a member of the Executive Board. He also worked as a SPUR (Special Project Union Representative) for the Fresh & Easy campaign.
Q: What is it you like most about your job?
A: “Working with people.”
