UFCW 324 Statement on November 2024 General Election

Buena Park, CA – Today the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Local 324 issued the following statement on 2024 General Election results. The statement may be attributed to Andrea Zinder, president, UFCW Local 324.

“On Tuesday people across the country cast their votes for Federal, State and Local elections. Voters have made their choices and it’s clear that many people across the country are seeking a change. We understand that a high number of our members are struggling and living paycheck to paycheck, feeling like they are falling further and further behind. Our union’s mission has not changed; it has always been to improve the lives of working people by elevating wages, health care, benefits, working conditions and equality for all, and we remain steadfastly committed to this goal.

“We will continue to dedicate ourselves to empower and fight for our 22,000 members that work across Orange and Los Angeles Counties. We will continue to raise the voices of our members, as well as non-union workers, who fight for dignity, respect, a living wage and the ability to raise a healthy family every single day. We will continue to fight for workers and their families that have been marginalized for their gender, religion, ethnicity, race or for whom they choose to love. We will never waver from our vision and we will continue to fight because when we fight, we win!”
