Member of the Week: Kevin Larkin
Kevin Larkin of Ralphs 34, has been in the industry for 34 years. He started as a Meat Cutter and is now the Meat Manager.
Larkin’s hobbies include fishing, hunting, dirt bike riding, spending time outdoors and family outings.
When asked what inspired him to get more involved he said, “At first I wanted to know my rights under the contract then I realized that many of my co-workers were either confused or uninformed too.”
Q: What is it you like most about your job?
A: “Helping people and giving them the best service possible.”
Q: How would your life be different if you were not a union member?
A: “I wouldn’t have the pay or the benefits we have worked so hard for.”
Q: If you could make a change in the workplace, what would it be?
A: “To have people more informed, and to work together better.”
