Member of the Week: Yolanda Rios
Yolanda Rios of Stater Bros. #160 has been in the industry for 17 years. She was hired as a clerk’s helper and is now a Food Clerk and checker.
Rios’s hobbies include spending time with her family, dancing and picnics.
When asked what inspired her to get more involved she said, “Fairness. I have always believed if fighting for our rights and wanted to get involved with what was going on.”
Q: What is it you like most about your job?
A: “Communication, team work and customers. I am a people person and really enjoy working with my co-workers and customers.”
Q: How would your life be different if you were not a union member?
A: “I wouldn’t have the life I do. The protections of the contract and the benefits are something my family needs.”
Q: What in your life are you most proud of?
A: “My family.”
