Member of the Week: Mark Hoshide
Mark Hoshide of Vons #2332 has been in the industry for 25 years. He has been a produce clerk since 1988.
When asked what inspired him to get more involved he said, “I wanted to keep informed and to help my coworkers.”
Q: How would your life be different if you were not a union member?
A: “I am pretty sure my pay would be low and there would be little or no benefits.”
Q: If you could make a change in the workplace, what would it be?
A: “More hours and more help in the departments.”
Q: What in your life are you most proud of?
A: “Starting a pediatric foundation at CHOC Hospital for cancer research for children.”
