Member of the Week: Mario Padilla
Mario Padilla of Ralphs #265, has been in the industry for 21 years. He started out as a courtesy clerk and is now a Dairy/Deli Manager.
Padilla’s hobbies include exercise and watching sports.
When asked what inspired him to get more involved he said, “I remember when I first started out and had no idea what a union was. I want to let all of the new hires know what being part of a union is all about.”
Q: What is it you like most about your job?
A: “I like the pay and benefits, thanks to our union.”
Q: How would your life be different if you were not a union member?
A: “I know that I wouldn’t be where I am. We have protections that you wouldn’t have elsewhere.”
