Member of the Week: JJ Blinn
JJ Blinn of Ralphs #78 has been in the industry for 14 years. He started as a Courtesy Clerk, later became a checker and is now a Dairy Box Clerk.
Blinn’s hobbies include playing the trombone, gambling at the casinos, and going to Catalina and the beach. He also hopes to write a sitcom based on the grocery industry.
When asked what inspired him to get more involved he said, “I saw how management mistreated people. I saw people being forced into unethical practices and I enjoy informing people what their rights are. Many are surprised at what is there to protect them.”
Q: What is it you like most about your job?
A: “I like to keep the mood and moral upbeat. The people from Ralphs have become great friends over the years.”
