Member of the Week: Jason Ybarra
Jason Ybarra of Stater Bros. # 30 has been in the industry for 13 years. He started as a Clerks Helper and is now a GM Clerk and does price changes.
When asked what inspired him to get more involved he said, “I wanted to be a bigger part of my union. I wanted to learn more and help out where I can.”
Q: How would your life be different if you were not a union member?
A: “It would not be as fulfilling. I enjoy the time off that I get and the benefits that we have.”
Q: What in your life are you most proud of?
A: “I am proud of my children.”
Q: What is your greatest asset?
A: “My ability to learn almost anything and apply it to what is needed.”
Q: If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?
A: “I would try to be a lot more involved with my union. I think the better our members are involved, the stronger we are as a whole.”
Q: If you could make any single change in your workplace what would it be?
A: “To be more of a leader.”
