Member of the Week: Dustin Rhodes
Dustin Rhodes of Ralphs #72 has been in the industry for 17 years. He started as a Courtesy Clerk and is currently the Dairy Deli Manager.
Rhodes’s hobbies include reading a lot of books, comic books and English soccer. He also ran the 2006 Los Angeles marathon in 3 hours 38 minutes.
When asked what inspired him to get more involved he said, “Fighting for fairness and equality. I don’t like seeing people taken advantage of.”
Q: What is it you like most about your job?
A: “I really enjoy the people I work with, it makes work fun.”
Q: How would your life be different if you were not a union member?
A: “I know that things wouldn’t be like they are now. We have great benefits.”
Q: If you could make a change in the workplace, what would it be?
A: “To have more help or more hours available.”
