Member of the Week: Armando Villa
Armando Villa of Albertsons #6510 has been in the industry for 28 years. He was hired as a courtesy clerk and is now the Meat Manager.
When asked what inspired him to get more involved he said, “I wanted to help people and fight for our rights and what is rightfully ours.”
Q: How would your life be different if you were not a union member?
A: “I know that things would be a lot tougher. It’s possible that I would have a lot less money and no medical benefits.”
Q: If you could make a change in the workplace, what would it be?
A: “I would like for there to be more full-time positions in the store for people who want them.”
Q: What in your life are you most proud of?
A: “I am proud to be a good father, great husband, and a good friend to people.”
