UFCW 324 STATEMENT ON PROP. 50 VICTORY
Sacramento, CA–Today, the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Local 324 celebrates California voters who used their voices and power to deliver a resounding approval of Proposition 50. Proposition 50 levels the playing field of the 2026 midterm elections and continues the fight to protect working people, fair wages, healthcare, pensions, and more. Matt Bell, Secretary-Treasurer of UFCW Local 324, issued the following statement:
“Ten months of Trump’s leadership have created countless setbacks for working families, and with Prop. 50, voters sent a clear message to the Trump administration and Texas Republicans: workers stand up for our democracy. Prop. 50 protects the most important issues for working families – economic security and affordable healthcare – from Republicans trying to rig next year’s election.”
