Rite Aid has formally filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. This means that they will continue operations while they reorganize their debts and assets in a return to financial solvency.
UFCW 324 is currently monitoring what is happening with Rite Aid and is in contact with the company. Our number one priority is ensuring our members’ rights, wages and working conditions are protected and that Rite Aid continues to abide by our collective bargaining agreement.
Rite Aid has informed us that there will be no interruption of your wages or benefits. If you do not receive all regular pay on the next regular payday, please contact your union representative immediately. Our grievance procedure remains in effect, along with the contract itself.
