Member of the Week: Carlos Lara
Carlos Lara of Vons #2203 has been in the industry for over 25 years. He started out as a courtesy clerk and is now a Liquor Clerk and Front End Supervisor.
Lara’s hobbies include working hard, and watching movies. He is a fan of the action genre.
When asked what inspired him to get more involved he said, “I wanted to learn more and get involved. Helping people at the store and just knowing that I can do good here.”
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: “I like being there to help people. Part of the reason I work 6 days a week.”
Q: How would your life be different if you weren’t a union member?
A: “I wouldn’t have the pay I do, or the benefits for sure.”
