Hurricane Harvey

As we have all seen, Hurricane Harvey has swept through the gulf coast and devastated Houston and other coastal cities and towns. Among the millions impacted by this storm are over 15,000 hard-working UFCW members and their families. They are in urgent need of temporary shelter, clothes, fresh food, and other daily essentials.

We know these members and their families are struggling; but rest assured, they will not struggle alone.

UFCW Local Unions and the International have already launched a fundraising drive that will provide vital financial assistance to all members impacted by this disaster. We are working with community partners and employers to provide additional assistance. And, we have also heard from members just like you as to what they can do to help.

If you would like to donate to the Local 455’s Membership Assistance Fund, www.ufcw.org/harvey-relief

Because of your efforts and the efforts of Local Unions across the country, the UFCW raised over $1 million to help those affected by Hurricane Katrina. As we did then, any money raised will be distributed to members and families in need.
Thank you for helping our fellow UFCW members in this time of need, and for all you do for our union family and yours.

Sincerely,

Greg Conger, President, UFCW Local 324
