On Wednesday, Food 4 Less workers, Long Beach city leaders and community advocates will call on Kroger Co. to keep stores open and condemn the greedy company’s actions to close two neighborhood grocery stores over $4 in temporary hazard pay wages. Workers will push back on Kroger’s blatant attack and retaliation on essential grocery workers who have been risking their lives, and the lives of their families, to serve their communities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
