In today’s fast paced economic times and with the rising cost of making ends meet, it is understandable why some members have concerns about paying union dues. UFCW Local 324 welcomes this question and it affords us the ability to demonstrate why it pays to belong to Local 324. The fact is that every month, we successfully collect tens of thousands of dollars in back pay on behalf of members who were unjustly terminated from their jobs. These same members are usually returned to work and many have a new appreciation for the union and the small price it costs to belong.
